Aotearoa is abundant with natural resources and especially unique as well as useful are those from the land. Northland weavers are renown for their skill with harakere, or flax, known as korare in the north. Some northland beaches are also plentiful with the bright yellow pingao and sometimes we also see kuta and kiekie used for creating special and unique pieces.
